Born in Liverpool, UK, but a resident of Australia for approaching 40 years,
I have taken my painting more seriously in recent years and
with a growing list of awards and achievements, have become known
primarily for my beach scenes.

It is the joy of the beach and sea that I try to convey through my work.
Not so much the summer beach, with its crowds seeking relief from the heat,
but the more contemplative beach.
During the cooler months beachgoers are on the move.
Walkers abound!
The mantra of waves sizzling into the shallows allows the mind to dream, as well as focus.
Companion hearts are melded, broken hearts mended, ideas formulated and plans projected - it all happens at the beach!

We can't live our lives there, but we can be constantly reminded of its mind-healing powers
by owning a piece of art that has been inspired by it.
